The Sumo 19 receives the FX6 HDMI output and records to AtomX SSDmini drives in ProRes RAW, ProRes, and DNxHR codecs - capturing a higher quality signal than the FX6 records internally and providing the post-production pipeline with maximum flexibility for color grading on the EIZO ColorEdge CG2700X. The 19-inch screen size serves double duty as a director's monitor on commercial sets - giving the director and client a properly calibrated, full-size view of the image while the camera operator works the FX6.
